As Canadian Regional Director, Ms. Heidi Walters brings to World Women Global Council a wealth of experience liaising with heads of state, ambassadors, humanitarians, celebrities, and other notable figures, as well as deep knowledge of the United Nations system.
Ms. Walters has over 10 years experience in developing and managing projects and programs in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She has dedicated her efforts to uniting these worlds in the name of sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and effective project implementation. From 2004 – 2009 she was Director of United Nations Projects and Coordinator of the Aggregated Purchasing Program at BidGive International Inc., a publicly traded company. Since 2006 she has been a key figure in building and running the Montessori Model United Nations program, since 2009 she has served as UN Representative for the International Association for Human Values and the Art of Living Foundation.
As Chief Protocol Officer, Ms. Walters facilitates all IREO interactions at United Nations headquarters in New York, as well as with government offices worldwide. Most recently Heidi has accepted the Director of Fundraising and New York Team Leader for Starion Energy, EGTCharity (Energy Gift to Charity) and Utility Advocate (UA), where she assists not profit organizations, to raise funds by implementing sustainable fundraising programs for the 501c3’s Members, supporters and constituents. Heidi is currently working towards her degree in International Development and Children’s Studies at York University. Heidi currently resides in Mississauga, Ontario with her two daughters, Brianna and Shayna.
